A Symbol of Hospitality on Charles Street
The pineapple in the logo of Blackstone’s continues the tradition of the New England Sea Captains who would spear a pineapple on a fence post outside their home as an invitation for friends to visit and share in their hospitality upon a safe return from a long voyage.

Blackstone’s continues this tradition of welcoming friends old and new to share a story and find cheer and comfort in the store – no matter the weather or the occasion!

About Us
On April 1st, 2006 Jennifer Hill - together with her former business partner Mark Duffield, became the store’s third set of owners to continue to provide the award-winning service and treasured items that locals rely upon and visitors from around the country return to year after year.

Jennifer Hill, Owner Blackstone’s of Beacon Hill / President of Krzyshill Stores LLC

Jennifer Hill hails from a family of entrepreneurs in Ohio where she began working in the family shops at the young age of 13. So, it is of no surprise to her family and friends that Jennifer’s boundless energy, creativity and enthusiasm has found a home in owning and managing not just one – but three stores in Boston together with her partner (and husband) Jim Hill. Jennifer can be found helping clients, customers and friends at her gift store on Charles Street, Blackstone’s of Beacon Hill, as well as at their kitchen store, KitchenWares by Blackstones (New England's Cutlery Resource at 215 Newbury Street). In fact, if you don’t see her in either store – perhaps you’ll pass her on the street as she speed walks her way between the two stores!
Jennifer combines her talent to source the most useful and practical tools with products that bring a certain sunshine and sparkle to your day! She likes to make people smile and her collection of kitchen wares items in the store reflects the essential, practical and hilarious! Owning and operating KitchenWares combines Jennifer’s passion for people and food – and ensures she has a beautifully stocked and prepared kitchen herself!
